Legacy CBO is a community-based organization operating within Embakasi sub-counties. We bring together community members who believe in practical, people-centered action—strengthening health awareness, empowering youth and women economically, and supporting community microfinance initiatives that help small businesses grow.
Our work is grounded in local leadership, shared responsibility, and integrity. We believe sustainable community change must be trusted, transparent, and owned by the people it serves.
A healthy, empowered, and financially resilient community.
To strengthen community wellbeing through health sensitization, youth and women empowerment initiatives, and microfinance support that grows livelihoods and hope.
Legacy CBO works through structured programs that respond to real community needs:
Health Sensitization & Awareness
Promoting informed choices on HIV & AIDS, sexual and reproductive health (SRH), nutrition, mental wellness, and prevention of non-communicable diseases.
Youth & Women Economic Empowerment
Supporting skills development, vocational training, and income-generating initiatives that improve self-reliance and household stability.
Microfinance & Savings
Strengthening savings culture and providing responsible, community-based financial support for small businesses and member-led initiatives.
These values guide how we work and make decisions:
Community Ownership
We listen first and act with the community, not for the community.
Dignity
Empowerment respects people and strengthens self-reliance.
Accountability
Transparent leadership, approvals, and financial systems.
Practical Action
Skills, tools, and solutions that work in everyday life.
Equity
Women and youth deserve opportunity, safety, and a fair chance to thrive.
